CLASSIFICATION PROCEDURES

CLASSIFICATION GUIDELINES

01 )	Team classifications are based on the roster as submitted and in accordance with the MASA Classification Code.

02 )	Classify from the bottom-up. Start all classifications by classifying the lowest team in the lowest level of play within your district.

03 )	In classifying teams, the philosophy is having the ability to compete and not necessarily to win a level of competition. Teams that play within three or four runs of each other in games they have played, can compete and should be placed in the same classification.

04 )	Both team rosters and team records shall be used in determining a teams classification. NOTE: Keep in mind that teams with rostered players who do not participate on a regular basis in sanctioned league play, may have a direct impact on their team's classification.

05 )	Teams that win their league easily will play at least one class higher than the rest of the league.
