New for 2016 – Points for Merchandise
Partnering with Worth, USA Softball of Michigan is announcing the following Customizable Award Package for teams that place in the Top 3 in overall points following the USA Softball of Michigan State Tournament (teams must participate in their respective state tournament in order to qualify):

Merchandise Points may be redeemed for Worth/ Bats, Bat Bags, Batting Gloves, Rawlings Apparel and Merchandise, fielder’s gloves and more. A detailed menu of available merchandise can be found here.
Paid State Berths
The top team in Points following the Meijer State Games Qualifying Tournament will earn a paid berth into their corresponding State Tournament.
Non-Paid Berths
Winner of each qualifier earns a non-paid berth to the USA Softball Northern or Eastern National Championship. Top three finishing teams in each qualifier earn a non-paid berth into the USA Softball of Michigan state tournament
State Tournament Protected Seeding
All team in points following the last qualifier will be seeded into the double elimination bracket. This will help to protect all teams from facing each other in the opening round of a state tournament.
Paid National Berths
Winner of each State Tournament will receive a paid berth to the corresponding USA Softball National Tournament. The Winner of the Class F State Tournament will have their entry fee refunded or their entry fee paid to the Class E USA Softball National Championship.

Goal:
To develop a consistent and competitive qualifying tournament program for USA Softball of Michigan Men’s Slow Pitch teams, further enhancing the USA Softball Brand in Michigan.
How it Works:
Men’s Slow Pitch teams competing in the Worth Power Series earn points based upon their order of finish in qualifying tournament and the state tournament. The points will be used for a variety of perks which will further benefit the team as well as USA Softball of Michigan.

The assumption is that winning a 24 team tournament is two times as difficult as winning an 8 team tournament.
*If a tournament is run with combined classes, points will be awarded according to the class. The highest finisher in each class will earn the maximum points for that class as if the tournaments were held separately.
